An overview of LTP's account structure
Overview
When you onboard LTP, you have access to three types of accounts:
| Account | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Funding Account | Deposit funds into LTP, withdraw funds out, and transfer between accounts |
| Trading Account | Hold and manage your trading resources — DMA sub-accounts and RapidX Portfolios |
| Earn Account | Subscribe to financial products using funds from your Funding or Trading accounts |
Funding Account
Your Funding Account is the entry and exit point for all funds in LTP. It is created automatically when you onboard.
How It Works
Each user is assigned a dedicated set of blockchain addresses — one per supported network. This means your funds are strictly isolated from other users, unlike a centralised exchange where all user funds are pooled together.
Because your Funding Account uses real on-chain addresses, your assets carry a chain/network attribute. If you deposit USDT on Ethereum, your balance will be on Ethereum. If you deposit USDT on Tron, it will be on Tron. You can hold the same asset across multiple networks simultaneously.
Gas Fees
Every outbound transfer from your Funding Account involves an on-chain transaction and requires a gas fee.
- If you hold the native gas token for that network (for example, ETH for an Ethereum transfer), it will be used automatically to pay the fee.
- If you do not hold the gas token, a small amount of the asset being transferred will be deducted to cover the fee. For example, transferring 100 USDT may result in 99 USDT arriving, with 1 USDT used for gas.
Dust Deposits
Because your Funding Account uses dedicated addresses, you may occasionally see small incoming transactions from external addresses that you did not initiate. These are called dust deposits. They do not affect your account security and can be ignored.
Fund Freezes
Funds in your Funding Account may be temporarily frozen in two situations:
- Normal operations — when a withdrawal or transfer is in progress, the relevant balance is frozen until the transaction completes.
- Compliance review — LTP partners with Chainalysis to screen incoming transactions. If a deposit originates from a sanctioned or flagged address, it will be frozen pending review. Contact LTP support if this occurs.
Trading Account
Your Trading Account is where your trading resources live. LTP supports two Prime types:
DMA (Direct Market Access)
A DMA sub-account is a sub-account on an external exchange (such as Binance or OKX) that LTP provisions on your behalf.
- You can hold multiple DMA sub-accounts across different exchanges or multiple sub-accounts on the same exchange.
- Each sub-account is independent — assets and risk are not shared between them.
- You can transfer funds freely between DMA sub-accounts, or from your Funding Account into a DMA sub-account.
- Each DMA sub-account is identified by an
accountId— typically a 5-digit number. You can find your sub-account IDs in the Trading Account section of the asset page.
API access: DMA sub-accounts come with exchange-native API keys that control trading within that sub-account only. To perform transfers across sub-accounts or from Funding Account, you must use the LTP GUI or an LTP API key.
RapidX
RapidX is LTP's liquidity aggregation platform. It lets you trade across multiple venues without needing to hold individual exchange sub-accounts.
- Within RapidX, you create one or more Portfolios. Each Portfolio is an independent trading unit with its own assets, risk profile, and API credentials.
- Portfolios come in two kinds:
- Main Portfolio — one per account, always assigned to the master user.
- Sub Portfolios — multiple allowed, can be assigned to sub-users.
- Each Portfolio is identified by a
portfolioId— a 16-digit number. You can find your Portfolio IDs in the Trading Account section of the asset page.
